We fund the people already doing the work
Education, meals, animal rescue and emergency relief in Guizhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Seoul and Singapore — run by local organisations, paid for by us. We do not open field offices.

Lunch in the Urban Village
A canteen in a dense urban village giving migrant-worker children a hot meal, homework help and company.

A Warm Winter in Chengdu
Days of freezing rain, and a winter of shelter, veterinary treatment and rehoming run with a local rescue group.

A Glimmer in the Flats
Weekly tutoring in older public housing, for families who have lived in the same flats for generations.

Little Lives on a Seoul Street
Stray cats and dogs beside the bins in a Gangnam alley, taken on with an animal protection organisation that knew how.

Clearing the Riverbank
Forty young volunteers, one summer morning, and a stretch of river edge filled with plastic and fishing line.

Reading Aloud in the Mountains
Where the roads are cut off for much of the year, and the obstacle to attendance turned out to be the cost of getting there.
From the field
A Scholarship Dream in Busan
A final-year student in a single-parent household who had begun working out how to give up on university.

The 22nd Staff Exchange Program
The twenty-second exchange, reviewing the programme work and planning the year ahead.

A Bridge of Learning Across Borders
Cross-border support for students from difficult family backgrounds, in a city people arrive in from everywhere.

Subjects
Ten programmes, none of them ours.
What we need
Money, time, or a role filled. We are small enough that a person reads what you send and small enough that you will know which programme your money went to.
